DESCRIPTION:This event has been canceled. \nThe Josh Hill Trio is Josh on guitar\, Dave DeWitt on acoustic Bass and Louis Tsamous on Drums. \nJoshua Hill hails from the proverbial ‘one stoplight’ town in the Southeastern Ohio village known as Lewisville-population 176. Joshua started playing guitar at age 13 and was immediately enamored with the sounds of Led Zeppelin\, The Eagles\, Stevie Ray Vaughan and particularly anything that was injected with the blues tradition laid down by masters such as B.B. King\, Robert Johnson and Albert King. At the same time studying classical guitar from a teacher over an hour away in St. Clairsville\, Josh became versed in the music of Fernando Sor\, Francisco Terrega and Andres Segovia. In 2001 Joshua was awarded the first guitar performance scholarship at West Virginia University. This was his first encounter of bebop and modern jazz stylings and would ultimately be a life changing experience that led to the attendance of The Ohio State University in 2003. There Joshua was awarded two performance scholarships\, and met many of the musicians he currently plays with in and around the Columbus\, Ohio area.  \nRESERVATIONS + Tips are strongly encouraged for our free Happy Hour Shows!

As they honed their sound at every coffee shop and bar that would take a chance on their unique style\, a growing network of collaborators added new flavors to the evolving songs–upright bass\, percussion\, banjo\, mandolin\, and\, most importantly\, the sweet soulful vocal harmonies of Carlie Quillin. With the addition of Will Christoffersen on electric lead and Lynde Wangler on violin\, the band’s sound took its final form on the stages of central Ohio as a high energy brand of folk-rock with deep roots in the stories and Appalachian music that formed the core of the original duo. \nThe band’s studio releases have been nationally recognized by the International Singer-Songwriters Association\, the World Songwriting Awards\, and the Who’s Hoo Country Music Awards. DESCRIPTION:Donna Mogavero is a singer/songwriter and professional entertainer. Donnas’ musical recognition of 30+ years began in high school. In the early ‘90’s she was recognized and awarded several Columbus Music Awards in categories of outstanding rock and folk vocalist\, artist deserving higher recognition\, acoustic solo performer and recording artist. In the late 1990’s she wrote The Streets Where I Live. This song gave the listener a vivid description of what life looked and felt like in what is now known as “the art district” called The Short North before renovation of the area in early 2000. Shortly after that\, with a little tweaking the song was used by Experience Columbus to promote and market Columbus\, Ohio. She was the first woman Grand Marshall in 2015 for Columbus’s Italian Festival. She had her own Sunday Radio Show called the Acoustic Coffee House on Cd(101) now 92.9 from 1991-’95 and 1998-2000. \nShe recently released her long awaited fourth original Cd The End Of the Drive\,  a compilation of songs that tell many stories flavored in rock\, country\, folk yet signature Donna Mogavero style. DESCRIPTION:Donna Mogavero is a singer/songwriter and professional entertainer. Donnas’ musical recognition of 30+ years began in high school. In the early ‘90’s she was recognized and awarded several Columbus Music Awards in categories of outstanding rock and folk vocalist\, artist deserving higher recognition\, acoustic solo performer and recording artist. In the late 1990’s she wrote The Streets Where I Live. This song gave the listener a vivid description of what life looked and felt like in what is now known as “the art district” called The Short North before renovation of the area in early 2000. Shortly after that\, with a little tweaking the song was used by Experience Columbus to promote and market Columbus\, Ohio. She was the first woman Grand Marshall in 2015 for Columbus’s Italian Festival. She had her own Sunday Radio Show called the Acoustic Coffee House on Cd(101) now 92.9 from 1991-’95 and 1998-2000. \nShe recently released her long awaited fourth original Cd The End Of the Drive\,  a compilation of songs that tell many stories flavored in rock\, country\, folk yet signature Donna Mogavero style. DESCRIPTION:Natalie’s\, with support from the Columbus Blues Alliance (CBA)\, presents Blues & Beyond Happening Hour.   \nThis week features North of Memphis\, a 4-piece blues and “blues-adjacent” ensemble featuring the award-winning guitar phenom\, Rick Collura and fronted by the local veteran guitarist/vocalist\, Jeff McCargish.  Rounding out the group from Memphis Tennessee\, Scott Bach on bass and Jackson McCargish on drums. \nThe Columbus Blues Alliance (CBA) is a non-profit organization founded to help preserve and nurture blues music and is an affiliate of the Blues Foundation in Memphis.
