SUMMARY:Colin Gawel CG2
DESCRIPTION:About Colin Gawel… \n“I wrote my first song on the back of a paper route book in 6th grade.” – Colin Gawel \nSoon after\, while seeing a Cheap Trick concert\, I convinced my pal Joe Oestreich that we should start a band and get signed to Epic Records. Just like Cheap Trick did. Watershed was born at that moment of the bus ride home from the show. Once we learned how to play\, we did get signed to Epic Records and do damn near every single thing a rock n roll band can do. Except have a hit song. It’s quite a tale.   \nIn fact\, you can read all about it in the best selling memoir “Hitless Wonder- A Life in Minor League Rock n Roll” which was released in 2012 and National Public Radio called it one of the two best books of the summer. It rose to #1 on the Amazon music book charts. (!) As of 2022\, Watershed is still recording and playing shows. \n In the meantime\, I also record and perform as a solo artist. Superior- The Best of Colin Gawel is 17 seventeen song compilation of that work. And in 2018 I released the League Bowlers Some Balls Deluxe. The Bowlers play bottom shelf versions of top shelf rock n roll\, both originals and tasty bar room versions of the classics. (Cheap Trick\, CCR\, Petty\, Bruce\, Neil Young and so on and so forth.. ) \nThursday Happening Hour shows are sponsored by our proud partners Bank of America. \nRESERVATIONS are strongly encouraged for our FREE Happening Hour Shows!

SUMMARY:The Orphan The Poet - SOLD OUT!
DESCRIPTION:Based out of Columbus\, Ohio\, alt-rock duo THE ORPHAN THE POET is catching eyes and ears well-beyond their midwest roots\, thanks to their electric live show and singalong hooks. The band has made waves all over the country\, appearing on festival bills like Firefly Music Festival\, Riotfest\, and Summerfest and garnering the attention of  SiriusXM’s Alt Nation\, KROQ in Los Angeles\, and BBC’s Radio1. \nAfter kicking in the doors with playlist spots like Apple Music’s Alternative Workout\, Spotify’s The New Alt + New Music Friday and even sync placements on FOX Sports\, The Orphan The Poet has arrived with a brand new indie-alt hype anthem entitled “Eureka”. The title track for the Eureka EP is already making waves on Apple Music’s ALT CTRL playlist as well as a flood of new ears thanks to a premiere from Stryker on Los Angeles’s iconic radio station\, ALT 98.7FM. \nThe duo has recently found themselves on tour with alt favorites Beach Weather and The Driver Era across North America\, and making festival appearances alongside Lorde\, Vampire Weekend\, and more. With this momentum\, THE ORPHAN THE POET is setting the stage for their biggest year yet. \n \nTHE ORPHAN THE POET is: \nDavid Eselgroth \nJake Floyd \nCHAPEL: \nNashville indie-alt duo CHAPEL — Carter and Kortney — have spent the better part of a decade building something that sounds like a festival headline waiting to happen. The pair cut their teeth on the road\, touring alongside Waterparks\, Sum 41\, Good Charlotte\, 3OH!3\, and Against the Current\, logging miles across the US and internationally behind their debut album Sunday Brunch. In 2019\, Alt Nation premiered “Friends” — the lead single off a follow-up album that was written\, finished\, and ready to go. Then the pandemic hit\, touring vanished\, and the record never came out. Rather than sit still\, CHAPEL pivoted and released the Room Service EP. “Pillowtalk\,” its lead single\, came out in January 2021 and landed on Alt Nation again — proof the connection with their audience never went anywhere. When the dust settled\, they linked up with Nashville producer Michael Guillot\, who quickly became the project’s third brain and unlocked a creative process they hadn’t had before. The result was their 2026 album Modern Nature — rooted in the kinetic\, sun-soaked energy of Passion Pit\, Phoenix\, and early-2010s festival indie\, recontextualized for right now. With a rhythm and momentum that finally feels like their own. \nFood & Bar: A limited food menu of pizza and fries as well as our full bar will be available before and during the show. If you would like to eat before the show\, we encourage you to make a dinner reservation by going to Resy.

His influences include Arty McGlynn\, Andy Irvine and Paul Brady as well as the great impact of his musical elder family members. Having been long established as the premier guitarist in traditional Irish and Irish/American music\, John’s 2011 solo cd\, Shadow and Light is a showcase for John’s acclaimed talent as a songwriter in the traditional genre. He has the rare ability to pen new songs that for all the world\, sound decades or hundreds of years old and are well on their way to becoming standards in the Irish folk canon. He makes seemingly ancient subjects such as the Irish experience of deportation\, war on the battle fields\, ship disasters\, and unrequited love seem riveting and relevant. John’s reputation as a generous\, patient and encouraging producer of new and established artists alike often finds him at the helm of several recording projects at once. Likewise\, he commits himself to several weeks of teaching yearly in his efforts to encourage young and older players alike and his classes are consistently sold out. \nThough he could no doubt play and record with any of the world’s best acoustic musicians\, and often does\, John’s heart is always in the traditional music of Ireland. \nFood & Bar: Our full food and drink menu will be available before and during the show.
