DESCRIPTION:A night of blues with old school RnB in the mix \nLady Nikki – Lead Vocalist\, is a powerhouse blues vocalist whose roots lie in the church and are shaped by the influence of Aretha Franklin\, Gladys Knight\, Bonnie Raitt\, Koko Taylor\, and Etta James. She has opened for Clarence Carter\, Dorothy Moore\, and Kenny Neal\, and performed alongside greats like Johnny Taylor\, Tyrone Davis\, and Little Milton. Her voice has carried across states\, seas\, and cruise-ship stages around the world. She has been lead vocalist for The Inner-City Blues Band for three decades and a standout on numerous recordings\, including Linda Dachtyl’s acclaimed album “For Hep Cats”. Nikki delivers a gripping\, soulful presence. Her bold\, heartfelt style creates an immediate connection\, commanding the stage and leaving her audiences stirred long after her last note.  \nEd Robinson – Saxophonist & Lead Vocalist\, a saxophonist who loves the Old School R&Bs\, yet his gospel influences are hard to miss. Essentially self-taught\, a graduate of the U.S. Military School of Music\, but unmistakably\, his style was shaped by his early years playing in church\, leading choirs and worship bands\, earning the nickname “The Gospel Sax.” Ed shared stages with Shirley Caesar\, James Cleveland\, Dottie Peoples\, and many other Gospel icons. Enlisting in the U.S. Navy and later re-enlisting into the Army Band\, he performed for Presidents Ford\, Reagan\, Carter\, and Bush. Ed is a decorated Gulf War Veteran with 34 years of service. He was awarded the Army’s Bronze Star. He has performed with such celebrated artists as Don Hales\, James Elliott\, Mark Hampton\, Melvin Stewart\, Teeny Tucker\, Robert Hughes\, Gene Walker\, Bobby Floyd\, and The Baccus Brothers.  \nKen Weaver – Guitarist\, Ken Weaver\, a Wilmington\, Ohio native\, is a self-taught guitarist whose lifelong passion spans R&B\, funk\, blues\, and ultimately the smooth and straight-ahead jazz he loves most. Over the years\, he has performed with many top musicians\, including Hank Marr\, Rusty Bryant\, Gary Carney\, Bobby Floyd\, Jeanette Williams\, Mary McClendon\, Roger Baccus\, Willy Pooch\, Grover Washington\, Wilbert Longmire\, Bobby Shaw\, Alvin Valentine\, Gene Walker\, Chip Willis\, and LG Scott. His credits also include work with the Urban Jazz Coalition\, Fo-Mo-Deep\, and 30East. Kenny has appeared throughout the Midwest with his quartet\, as well as in New York\, Washington\, DC\, Puerto Rico and internationally on a USO tour to Thailand\, Japan\, and Korea while serving in the Air Force. \nLinda Dachtyl – Hammond Organ\, Linda Dachtyl is a Chicken Coup/Summit Records artist with five nationally released albums\, including “Blue Bop”\, “For Hep Cats”\, “A Late One”\, “Waves of Change”\, and her newest recording “Full Steam Ahead” featuring her instrumental jazz organ groups. A Hammond Organ USA artist\, she has performed with Blue Lou Marini\, Trudy Pitts\, Gloria Coleman\, Teeny Tucker\, Willie Pooch\, Gene Walker\, and Chip Willis. Linda is also an accomplished drummer having played with RoxyJanes\, Uncle Fester\, and in various sub situations. An active music educator\, she has produced two instructional organ series through Tony Monaco’s education division and taught percussion and music theory at Ohio Wesleyan University and percussion and jazz piano at Kenyon College. She continues to teach privately\, offering instruction in jazz\, rock\, blues\, and electronic music applications.  \nCary Dachtyl – Percussionist\, Cary Dachtyl is a seasoned percussionist and educator\, having taught at Kenyon College and Mt. Vernon Nazarene University and maintains a private studio in Columbus. In 2014\, he became owner and editor of Per-Mus Publications\, a leading publisher of percussion music\, and also operates Pterodactyl Productions\, a studio specializing in acoustic percussion and analog keyboard recording. Cary has performed alongside many notable artists. He and his wife Linda\, form a dynamic musical duo on stage. His orchestral percussion credits include concert appearances with The Moody Blues\, Yes\, Mannheim Steamroller\, Crystal Gayle\, Roger Williams\, and Diana Ross. DESCRIPTION:Laura Veirs returns with Temple Songs\, her first album in four years—and the first she has written\, recorded\, arranged\, produced\, and performed entirely on her own. “I didn’t know if I would write songs again\,” says Veirs\, who spent the intervening years building a backyard studio\, getting married\, blending a family with four teenagers\, deepening her visual art practice (painting)\, and expanding her music teaching. “Turns out that period was a gathering phase. When I made the commitment to recording the album myself\, the muse caught me again and it came together very quickly.” \nWritten and recorded in three months in the fall of 2025 in Veirs’ backyard “Temple of Bloom” studio\, Temple Songs marks a new level of artistic independence. While 2022’s Found Light (co-produced by Veirs and Shahzad Ismaily) was a declaration of autonomy\, Temple Songs goes further: every creative decision—what to record\, how to record it\, and how it should sound—was Veirs’ alone. Made with just two mics and a laptop in a 10’ x 14′ room\, the album feels unmistakably “Veirs-ian\,” yet strikingly new. \nVeirs embraced the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi throughout the process\, choosing not to pitch-correct vocals or edit out rough edges. “I wanted to make something that sounds as organic and human as possible\,” she says. Mixing by Philip Weinrobe (Adrienne Lenker) adds sympathetic finishing touches to Veirs’ 14th solo album. \nBecause the Temple of Bloom wasn’t built for recording\, the studio itself became a collaborator. These ambient intrusions lend the album an intimate\, lived-in authenticity. \nInfluences range from Mac DeMarco’s commitment to trusting his personal taste to the anarchists and feminists of the late 1800s and their rallying cry\, “no gods\, no masters.” “It was hard to get the white man off my shoulder\,” Veirs says. “I wrestled with a lot of doubt. But there were many happy accidents and eventually I found a flow—seeing the studio again\, for the first time since my 20s\, as a private place for exploration.” \nClocking in at a concise 30 minutes\, Temple Songs’ 11 tracks capture a songwriter in peak form. The album is intimate\, dreamy\, brave and quietly defiant\, built around Veirs’ intricate fingerstyle nylon-string guitar\, vulnerable vocals\, and bold electric guitar embellishments. “Arc Still Bends” reflects feelings of contemporary futility\, offset by a hopeful chorus. “River’s Song\,” an ode to one of Veirs’ children\, showcases her gift for simplicity and emotional precision. “Pulse” veers into art-experimental territory\, culminating in a cacophonous duet between electric guitar and sax. “No Masters” is a sparse\, punk rock call for collective self-determination\, while “Sunlight and Doom” incorporates elemental fragments from the ancient Greek lyricist Sappho. \nVeirs played guitars\, bass\, drums\, tambourine\, percussion\, and sings vocals; the only outside contribution is saxophone by a secret special guest. The same year\, the trio received the ‘Carl Prize’ for their compositions\, awarded by the Danish Music Publishers’ Association. \nIn 2026\, they were awarded ‘Den Unge Kunstneriske Elite’ (The Young Artistic Elite)\, a substantial grant from the Danish Arts Foundation. In 2015\, Emma Elmøe and Villads Hoffmann formed the duo Elmøe & Hoffmann in Copenhagen as part of a growing Danish folk music scene. Shortly thereafter\, they received the ‘New Talent’ award at the Danish Music Awards Folk. In 2017\, they were joined by pianist Julian Svejgaard for the recording of their debut album ‘Vandkanten’. Written over a couple of years of near constant travel\, Kimes took the lessons\, doubts\, disciplines\, and fears tied to being an independent touring artist and created Daredevil\, a record that coalesces years of hard work and hard knocks. In her sophomore release\, Kimes substantiates her own tendency to present the complicated parts of life in a sweeping diorama of thought and feeling while addressing the elephant in every room and leaving you glad she did. \nChloe Kimes found the stage early\, writing songs before the age of ten and extensively working the live music circuit of Michigan through her teens. Relocating to Tennessee in 2016\, she elevated her self-taught country music raising to a songwriting degree from Middle Tennessee State University. In her time at MTSU she also became involved as a DJ at Middle Tennessee’s Americana Public Radio station 89.5 WMOT Roots Radio and continues to share her passion for roots music and public radio weekly on the air. While Kimes has been tirelessly band-leading\, touring\, recording\, and hustling as a full-time independent musician since 2021\, the last couple years of travel have brought her coast to coast and around the world. She has toured alongside the likes of Sarah Shook and the Diarmers\, Lola Kirke\, Brent Cobb\, and in Nashville\, opened for Jelly Roll. \nWith no plans to slow down\, you will find Kimes in cities across America playing and promoting Daredevil in the coming year. DESCRIPTION:Purple mountains\, empty highways\, jet trails as the sun fades; Dogwood Tales paint in valley colors on their forthcoming album\, Every Star in Rockingham County. Hailing from Harrisonburg\, VA in the heart of Shenandoah\, the band is fronted by founders and childhood friends Kyle Grim (guitar/vocals) and Ben Ryan (guitar/vocals)\, alongside college contemporaries Jake Golibart (drums) and Danny Gibney (bass). With its location in its title\, their new album is as much a love letter to the local DIY scene\, vast farmlands and surrounding mystical mountains as it is a portrait of present-day small town American life. While tracks like “Mt. Jackson” speak candidly about the experience of songwriter Kyle Grim seeing his once cheerful\, tractor-driving uncle hospital bound\, it also captures a broader\, ever-relatable image of a society drowned in hospital bills and anxieties of what could have been\, keeping us at odds with the ever present moment. \nThough heavy and personal in its lyrical content\, the album was born out of a spirit of naivety and experimentation that breathes lightness and excitement into the music. Pedal steel chords and delicate harmonization between Ryan and Grim — who’ve at this point been singing together half their lives — accompany jamming power pop drumlines by Golibart\, tasteful guitar licks and wistful video game soundbites. Whether it’s song titles like “Princess Peach” and the football games and Coca-Colas of “McMemories” Dogwood Tales speaks in a vocabulary previously unexplored in earlier works\, unafraid of showing as much reverence for iconic fast food and video game characters as they do their grandmothers and local basketball legends. Or the achingly specific lyrics in “Angel Dreams”\, “We drove to Southern Kitchen\, you wouldn’t even play my favourite song. You cried in your fried chicken\, the waitress thought I said something wrong\,” it’s easy to feel like you’re sitting on a couch in the band’s attic; sharing stories\, ambient Gamecube on in the background. \nThe humming electric guitars over beds of pedal steel and earnest lyricism find ESiRC in dialogue with indie rock’s current Lo-Fi country romanticism\, lyrically pays homage to revered American songwriters in the footsteps of Townes Van Zandt\, but ultimately takes listeners on a ride through uncharted territory. It’s a ride through Rockingham county\, through the moody valley\, the tight bond of four friends coming of age in a rural Virginia town\, and a digital age where loneliness is far too prevalent. Thankfully\, we’ve got the stars to keep us company. \n\n \nHello Emerson  has been crafting subtle\, earnest\, and expansive ornamental Americana songs since 2015. \nDrawing on the midwestern songwriting tradition of acclaimed acts like Bright Eyes and The Mountain Goats\, Bodary’s erudite yet homespun lyrics are bolstered by the group’s increasingly baroque arrangements.
