In 2019\, he was officially announced as a member of the Stellar Award–nominated group Men Of God’s Heart\, traveling and recording with the ensemble for four years and contributing to their 20-year legacy album\, “The Trilogy.”Inspired by timeless artists such as Stevie Wonder and Roberta Flack\, Adams blends gospel depth with soulful groove and contemporary expression.nWith the release of his single “Think About That” and a debut solo album currently in development\, Steve “A-Phlat” Adams continues to create music that uplifts\, inspires\, and resonates across generations \nThe unique sound of vocalist Debra James Tucker is a product of extensive training in jazz\, classical and gospel music. After honing his skills as a session singer and performer in the vibrant clubs of NYC’s Greenwich Village\, George took a detour\, embarking on what would become an extensive career in healthcare without ever letting go of his musical roots. His life took a significant turn in 2022 when he reconnected with acclaimed musician\, composer\, and producer\, Brian Keane. The reunion sparked the creation of “Not Alone\,” Barrett’s debut album (2023). George and Brian joined forces again on George’s most recent album\, “Rearrange Things” (2025). \nBarrett has performed locally with the Columbus Jazz Orchestra\, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra\, the Columbus Symphony Orchestra\, the New Albany Symphony Orchestra\, Shadowbox Live and the Harmony Project band. DESCRIPTION:Acclaimed folk/blues artists Andy Cohen\, Eleanor Ellis\, and William Lee Ellis come together for the first time in decades to celebrate their new trio album for Riverlark\, Whistlin’ Past the Graveyard\, a collection of 21 traditional and original songs and instrumentals that marks a return on record following their classic 1990s Marimac outing\, Preachin’ in That Wilderness. \nANDY COHEN is a virtuoso finger-style guitarist described as “a walking\, talking folk-blues-roots music encyclopedia.” During the Sixties folk revival\, he got hooked on the music of luminaries old and young\, from Big Bill Broonzy to the Jim Kweskin Jug Band\, although his most profound experience came at 16 when he first heard blues/gospel icon Rev. Gary Davis. He has since devoted his life to studying\, performing\, and promoting traditional blues and folk music of the pre-World War II era and has toured and played with\, among others\, Martin\, Bogan & Armstrong\, John Jackson\, Rev. Gary Davis\, Jim Brewer\, and Honeyboy Edwards. Based these days in Memphis\, Tenn.\, Andy holds a master’s degree in anthropology and has more than a dozen recordings to his credit\, including Oh Glory\, How Happy I Am: The Sacred Songs of Rev. Gary Davis and numerous albums on the Earwig label. He is a recipient of both the Eisteddfod Award from the Eisteddfod Traditional Music Festival and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the California Autoharp Gathering. \nELEANOR ELLIS has been praised “a celebrated master of the country and Piedmont blues\, one of the most significant women in the acoustic genre” (Living Blues). The Louisiana native has performed at clubs\, festivals\, and concerts in the U.S.\, Canada\, and Europe\, notably with gospel street singer Flora Molton\, bluesman Archie Edwards\, and\, on occasion\, Delta blues great Eugene Powell. She is a founding member of the DC Blues Society and the Archie Edwards Blues Heritage Foundation and is producer/editor of the noted Piedmont blues documentary Blues Houseparty. Among Eleanor’s many recordings are the recent albums\, I Do Just What I Do and Comin’ a Time\, both on the Patuxent label\, appearances on numerous anthologies\, and two records with Flora Molton\, I Want to Be Ready to Hear God When He Calls\, and Flora Molton\, the latter made for Radio France. Eleanor has also worked at the Archive of New Orleans Jazz at Tulane University and at the New Orleans Jazz Museum. \nWILLIAM LEE ELLIS is a roots music fingerpicking guitarist and songwriter who has been hailed a “wizard on steel strings” (Blues Revue) and “one of our finest contemporary songwriters” (Living Blues). He has released five albums on the Yellow Dog Records label\, notably 2023’s Ghost Hymns – a Blues Music Awards nominee for Acoustic Blues Album of the Year – and he has backed his faither banjo/fiddle composer Tony Ellis\, on numerous studio projects and in concert. William holds a PhD in ethnomusicology\, has played Mountain Stage\, MerleFest\, and the Kennedy Center among other venues\, and is a guitar-instructing alum of Jorma Kaukonen’s Fur Peace Ranch and Augusta Blues Week. DESCRIPTION:Sunny Side is a New Orleans-based jazz band inspired by early jazz greats like Louis Armstrong\, Duke Ellington\, Nat King Cole\, and Fats Waller. The band takes its name from the 1930 jazz standard “On the Sunny Side of the Street” by Fats Waller and Jimmy McHugh—a fitting tribute to the joyful spirit they bring to every performance. \nFormed in 2019\, Sunny Side consists of seasoned musicians who have been playing together in various New Orleans jazz projects since 2017. They deliver a New Orleans-style jazz experience featuring rich 3-part harmonies\, a driving rhythm section\, and a dynamic vocalist and dancer who brings the music to life. Their shows are immersive and high-energy—audiences are encouraged to dance\, sing along\, and soak in the joyful atmosphere that defines their hometown. \nIn 2025\, Sunny Side embarked on their fifth national tour\, performing in 16 cities over 23 days\, with stops in Tennessee\, Ohio\, New York\, Maryland\, and several other states. Their performances span a variety of venues\, from intimate jazz listening rooms to lively swing dance halls. \nSunny Side is also preparing to release their fourth album\, “The Marigny Sessions\,” recorded at Marigny Studios in New Orleans. The album captures the group’s signature blend of vintage charm and vibrant\, contemporary influences. \nDuring the 2020–2021 quarantine\, the band started a Jazz in Coliseum Square Park series in New Orleans’ Lower Garden District\, providing free live music during a time of isolation and uncertainty. Featuring acts like Preservation Hall Brass Band\, Handmade Moments\, Amigos do Samba\, and Sunny Side themselves\, the series became a cherished community event.
