The Kevin Gordon Trio

Many of you have seen Kevin Gordon in the past when we’ve been lucky enough to bring him to Columbus. You’ve raved about how great he was and asked when he would be coming back. Kevin and his band are touring in support of his latest album The In Between, which was released in September 2024. You’ll hear not only some old classics, but some newer ones that you’ll love.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Kevin here’s a little background on him. Originally from Louisiana, Kevin has called Nashville home for almost 30 years. His songs have been recorded by such legends as Keith Richards, Ronnie Hawkins, Levon Helm (The Band), Scotty Moore (Elvis Presley) Todd Snider, Irma Thomas (The Soul Queen of New Orleans), and Shemika Copeland — among others. Kevin wrote and played guitar on the song Cadillac Blue, which was on Shemika’s 2024 Grammy nominated album Blame It On Eve. The great Lucinda Williams has also dueted with him and his songs have been featured on national TV shows including True Blood. This is just a partial list of his musical achievements — and it’s pretty darn impressive.

He’s a legend in the music world not only for his songwriting, but also his guitar playing. He makes his ’56 Gibson ES-125 sound like nobody else can. His songs and guitar transport you into the story he’s telling and leave you with a feeling of amazement, joy, and happiness.
