Kristin Kalnapenk
- This event has passed.

Kristin Kalnapenk, a composer, vocalist, and aerial dancer, captivates audiences with performances that might take you on a magical inner journey. Accompanied by Charlie Bruskotter on piano, the duo blends Kristin’s original music with cherished jazz standards, influenced by their time studying jazz at Capital University.
Kristin’s songs often explore the symbiotic relationship between the power of nature, humanity, and society. Her compositions feature little stories drawn from her life and inner world, inspired by traveling and the people she’s encountered, often focusing on core values such as hope, genuine desire, and love. Having spent 12 years of her childhood in Spain, Kristin composes and sings fluently in Estonian, English, and Spanish. Her music is a rich fusion of boom-chuck rhythms infused with elements of jazz, reggae-inspired grooves from her time in Spain, and soulful ethnic prayer songs influenced by Estonian folklore.
Fresh from completing her bachelor’s degree in jazz music at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, Kristin released a single titled ‘Find a Way,’ which advanced to the semifinals of Estonia’s Eurovision selection contest (Eesti Laul) and received international radio play. In December 2024, she released her newest single, ‘Südames,’ meaning ‘In Heart.’ Kristin is currently pursuing her master’s degree in jazz music at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.
In addition to creating music, dance is another of Kristin’s passions. She blends elements of classical and contemporary dance with more demanding, strength-based movements on the vertical pole and various aerial apparatuses.
