An Evening with Dan Navarro, Jesse Lynn Madera and Alice Peacock

  • This event has passed.

About Dan Navarro…

With a career spanning decades, Dan Navarro is perhaps best known as songwriter for artists as diverse as Jackson Browne, Keb’ Mo’ and Pat Benatar (Grammy-nominated classic “We Belong”). A multi-talented performer, Dan is a singer, a songwriter and a voice actor in major motion pictures, TV, & commercials…including last year’s hit Disney Film ENCANTO.

Dan’s songs are rich with insight and life experience, delivered straight-up, with honesty, grace and heart, in his moving and expressive baritone voice. Having released a dozen albums (solo & as Lowen&Navarro,) Dan released his first solo album “Shed My Skin” in 2019.  Horizon Line, his newest Release, was produced by multiple Grammy®-winner Jim Scott (Tom Petty, Wilco, Dixie Chicks, as well as the first five Lowen&Navarro albums) in a dozen sessions in mid-2021 and a dozen more in spring 2022.

About Jesse Lynn Madera…

West Virginia-born and Houston-raised, Jesse Lynn Madera is celebrated for crafting musical tales with profound and relatable lyrics while effortlessly blending diverse genres. American Songwriter praised her saying, “Madera’s lyrical and piano-driven songs are passionate and alluring, with a dramatic, ethereal, and almost otherworldly tone. Evoking comparisons to the shapeshifting brilliance of Kate Bush and the confessional pop sensibilities of Tori Amos.”

About Alice Peacock…

Much has changed for singer-songwriter Alice Peacock since her last solo studio album, 2009’s Love Remains. She’s had three kids, moved to Cincinnati and…gotten 10 years older. “Feel the weight of the world on my shoulders / Am I wiser or am I just older?” she sings on “Dry Spell,” from her new collection, Minnesota. The record suggests that despite her “wondering what all is yet to be,” she has indeed attained a measure of wisdom.

She uses the word “midlife” but does not follow it by “crisis.” She views her current outlook more as an awareness of life’s fragility and an appreciation of its sweetness. “Being a parent, I don’t know that I could love any more than I do right now,” she says, “so I’ve also never been more vulnerable. I have everything to lose.”
