Annual Beatles vs. Stones Benefit Bash for Easterseals Central & Southeast Ohio

  • This event has passed.

We are proud to announce the return of the Beatles Vs. Stones Benefit Bash. All proceeds from the show go to Easterseals of
Central & Southeast Ohio. Four bands, 2 playing The Beatles, 2 playing The Stones battle back and forth for supremacy!

Obetz R Off:
Obetz R Off, the classic rock cover band hailing from the industrial town of Obetz, Ohio, features 5 veterans of the local rock scene. They bring a unique twist to timeless hits with a flavor as tasty as a basket of zucchinis from their hometown. Their rock n roll fortress is built on a foundation of timeless hits, blending the roots of rock with a zesty infusion that sets them apart.  Individually seasoned by their musical journeys, Obetz R Off’s members bring a rich history, having once rocked stages with bands like The Slang, Dutch Van Dyme, and Pay the Toll.

ScubaSteve & The Rumrunners:
ScubaSteve & The RumRunners, distilled through multiple band names and lineup changes, and flavored through the process of playing dozens of charity events throughout the years have emerged like a finely aged spirit to become the premier Punk Rock Party Cover band of Columbus Ohio.

Bungalow Bills:
Guitarist Josh Tully has been playing and writing music in the Columbus scene since the late 80s in bands such as Joint Project, The Shrunken Heads, Poophouse Reilly, Strange Grain, and various other projects. Currently he plays with The Apple Bottom Gang, The Shazzbots, and the duo Semi Strange. He’s also been called Truck Noristasio in certain circles but that’s another story.

Drummer Rob Mottice played his first Columbus gig in 1987. Along with assisting various studio projects with local songwriters, he plays in the Apple Bottom Gang, The Shazzbots, Silent Bell, and The Mason Jars. He recently started playing with Myron Hart, longtime guitar tech and sideman for Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady of Jefferson Airplane/Hot Tuna. He likes a good pun.

Bass player Zach Whitney has been a singer-songwriter for over 25 years. He’s currently involved with several different projects in town, including leading the Zach Whitney Show. Additionally, he hosts open mic every Thursday night at the Rambling House. Lead Vocalist/ Guitarist Scott Wise has been performing on the Columbus music scene since 1990. Previously in the bands Unusual Occurrence, The Sounds Masons, Stonebyrd, and Strange Grain. He currently plays in the duo Semi Strange with Josh as well as a founding member of the 2 decades plus project Toast.

Dadband 5000:
“We usually move over from the Donut Shop to the warehouse between noon and one.” That general guidance, through geological time and processes, brings us to contend with Dadband 5000. A mostly sedimentary formation of guys formerly of bands such as Yesterday Kids, The Secret Sounds of the NSA, among others, now just being dudes and playing musical instruments because we get to choose what to do some of the time.

Food & Bar: Our full food and drink menu will be available before and during the show. If you would like to eat before the show, we encourage you to make a dinner reservation on Resy for our kitchen side of the venue.
