J. Moriarty with Talitha Boyd and Miles Moses

J. Moriarty is a 4-piece indie rock band based in Columbus, Ohio, made up of 2 Ben’s, an Alex, & a Jamie, and together they rock, softly. Earlier this Spring, they finished their debut album as a whole, Wind Mtn. It’s available on all streaming platforms- THEY HAVE THEIR ALBUM ON VINYL TOO. Lead songwriter of the band, Jamie, only writes songs first as acoustic or piano-only songs since he is of the belief that a good song should be able to firmly stand alone without all the bells & whistles (which, though, can absolutely enhance the song & experience of the listener). Jamie often writes about experiences that he learns & struggles through, & about his time living in Palestine, Morocco, & Oman, & sometimes even writes lyrics in Darija. He also writes about the Mundane of Life but how It can be profound at times; tuning in & noticing the usually-unnoticed. These 4 fellas value kindness, inclusivity, & the passion of music~ the writing of it, the arranging of it, & the humble performing style of it all. They are tender souls.

Talitha Boyd is a 21 year old singer-songwriter based in Columbus, Ohio offering vulnerable songs birthed out of her love for storytelling. Talitha’s artistic style mixes unique indie-folk themes with bedroom pop intimacy to create relatable and touching songs. Her distinct vocal tonality and authentic songwriting echo coming of age themes of nostalgia, heartbreak, and internal struggles. Drawing inspiration from artists like Lizzy McAlpine, Gracie Abrams, and Novo Amor, Talitha injects deep emotional connection into both her songwriting and live performances to connect with her listener.
