Taking the Stage at Natalie’s on July 4:
Awethu
“Awethu” featuring vocalists Vicki Saunders, Tia Harris and Debra James Tucker is an a cappella vocal group singing songs in the style of the freedom songs of the American civil rights struggle. Special guest will be spoken word artist, Stevi “Ms. Stevi “Knighton. And featuring Dr. Keith Newton, saxophone. Awethu means “to the people” and was the response to the rallying cry of Amandla “power” during the South African struggle against apartheid. We offer these songs in honor of resistance struggles all over the world.
Mx. Manhattan
Mx. Manhattan is the haunted pop moniker of trans indie artist Noraa Stoke, blending glitch, chamber pop, and emotional noise into raw, theatrical songs that pull no punches. Using pop subgenres as a shifting canvas, she explores themes of religious trauma, mental health, and identity with unsettling honesty. Based in Columbus, they’ve been building a devoted local following through a sound that’s hard to pin down but impossible to forget.
Adria Shahid & Friends
Adria has stood her ground, built a foundation for other women of different faiths/cultures on the rights of freedom of speech/dress/ music in the midst of controversy as a song writer, vocalist & production/ business self manager. She brings years of experience as a female artist. And looks forward to performing & writing new material for the conscious minds.
Mery Steel
Emotional upheaval is a material force in Steel’s songwriting: undulating, color-changing, and ultimately wild, bracing themes of love, hate, jobs, chronic pain, and perseverance. Their guitar-driven sound testifies to varied influences, with songs ranging from sinuous alt-country tearjerkers to breezy pop bops to groovy blues rock rippers. You might hear Jennifer Warnes or Loretta Lynn in the vocals, but Mery will growl on the mic as readily as they’ll croon.
G. Finesse
Finesse is a Columbus, Ohio based rapper, vocalist, songwriter and producer. Through a unique blend of Neo-Soul, Hip-Hop and RnB he tells his story and shares his perspective on life
Seating at Natalie’s will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis only, no reserved seating for these shows. Our full food and drink menu will be available before and during the show.
