The man needs no introduction or explanation. One half of the mighty Tenacious D, Kyle Gass has literally made history, co-invented a genre, and created a substantial body of work over the years. He’s played 100’s upon 100’s of shows across the globe, and has often been imitated by countless weekend warrior guitarists, tribute-band wannabees, and dorm-room drunks. The thing that they’re all missing is KG’s immense talent and perfect timing.. well, also no one can play the flute or recorder quite like him either.

You’ve seen these musicians on stages for years- as they play pivotal roles in The Receiver, Minnows, Night Laundry and the notable Peppercorn Beatles Marathon.

They recently hit the road and perform as the backing band for Tenacious D’s fronting member, Kyle Gass. They are bringing that show back home to Columbus!

Fronted by singer-songwriter Sean Gardner, the influence of Americana song craft is apparent via both guitar playing and lyrical comparisons to Jason Molina, Elliot Smith, and Jeff Tweedy.

Lyrically, the songs traverse both heartbreak and self-discovery. While musically, the band builds their strength around Nate Rothacker and Casey Cooper, whose friendship dates back to grade school. This tight bonded rhythm section adds a sonic texture reminiscent of classic and modern psychedelia like Pink Floyd and Blonde Redhead.
