Miller and The Other Sinners: Soul Sunday hosted by Debra James Tucker

Soul Sunday, hosted by Debra James Tucker continues with the nationally touring Miller and The Other Sinners from Buffalo, NY, bringing its brand of southern soul to Natalies for the very first time! Blend a little Chris Stapleton with some Tower of Power funk, Memphis gospel and some Allman Brothers guitars and jam and you have Miller and The Other Sinners southern soul style. You’ll hear an infectious rhythm section, some of the best keyboard/organ playing you’ve experienced, masterful horns, soulful vocals and slide guitar playing, all riding well-crafted and moving melodies and grooves.
Since 2014, Miller and The Other Sinners has done over 1400+ shows from solo to a 10-piece band all over 26 states, opening or sharing the stage with The Steve Miller Band, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Rusted Root, Joe Bonamassa, Jonny Lang, Eric Gales, to name a few, and playing festivals such as Telluride Blues and Brews, Musikfest, Borderland, Rochester Jazz Festival, Fairport and great rooms/events like the Tralf Music Hall, Redstone Room, the famous Double Door (now closed), Madlife Stage & Studios and Levitt Amphitheater! Whether on festival stages or in smaller venues, they always bring their positive vibe and energy to each show.
The unique sound of vocalist Debra James Tucker is a product of extensive training in jazz, classical and gospel music. Her new album is “Voices”, which continues her exploration of early black church forms in contemporary contexts. She is the writer/performer of the one woman show Survival of the Boulevard Singer—winner of an Ohio Arts Council Award for Individual Excellence, has been a visiting instructor at Denison University in the history of African American Gospel Music, and an artist in residence with several youth arts organizations.
