18+ Event
- This event has passed.
TriVillage Mentor League’s 7th Annual Music Trivia Fundraising event is back at Natalie’s Music Hall on Saturday, April 13th – Sponsored by Endeavor Brewing & Spirits.
Your quizmaster this evening is WWCD Radio Morning Host Brian Phillips. You can surely find gaps in Mr. Phillips’ general knowledge, but when it comes to the arcane details pertaining to the history of music, (popular and otherwise) he is always at the ready to identify obscure shoegaze tracks from long forgotten bands when you’re just trying to binge that one show on Netflix.
Mr. Phillips resides in Westerville with his wife Christina, who does not care that Foreigner has only one original member remaining, or that Elvis Costello once worked as a data entry clerk at a cosmetics factory. Brian is also the full-time caretaker of his record collection and his dogs Greta and Penny.
Start stacking your team now to test your name that tune, and artist music knowledge emceed by Brian. Plus hear some great music commentary from Brian’s long and successful career in the alternative radio industry.
Proceeds from ticket sales go directly to the youth mentoring programs of TVML.
Prizes for the winners… although we’re all winners when we’re playing for the kids.
TriVillage Mentor League:
Founded in 1994 to offer more youth support locally, TriVillage Mentor League (TVML) is an IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the central Ohio communities of Grandview Heights, Marble Cliff, and Upper Arlington.
Since its inception, TVML has done one thing, and that is mentoring. Over the years we have evolved and shifted how our mentoring looks (moving from a partnership with Big Brother/Big Sister to using local high school students to mentor) but reaching out to children has remained steadfast in our vision. TVML is well-respected both by Upper Arlington and Grandview Heights School Districts, and by families within the communities. Our unwavering commitment to our local communities to support our youth is paramount to all we stand for at TVML.
TVML is invested in the communities we serve, which is why we also offer scholarships to deserving senior mentors. We look for ways to support the youth in our community, and to have a presence that fosters the importance of mentoring.
