Amazing vocals, stellar playing, tremendous songs and superlative young human beings” – John Cowan of Newgrass Revival
Maria, etc. opens the show…
Maria, etc. (formerly known simply as Maria Keck) is a singer-songwriter from Cincinnati, Ohio. She is a classically trained flutist and elementary music teacher who has been writing, performing and releasing her original music since 2020.
She released her first album of flute-centered, quasi-folktronica tunes titled “The Gardener & Me” in June of 2023. This past year, Maria experienced a musical identity crisis. She began writing intimate tunes with just her acoustic guitar. On New Year’s Day, 2025, Maria made the decision to record these songs and release an album by the Summer. She assembled a talented crew of local Cincinnati musicians to fill out a full band sound, drawing inspiration from modern folk artists such as Leif Vollebekk, The Tallest Man on Earth, and River Whyless.
She is so excited to be releasing this album of mellow folk-rock tunes on May 24th.
