Peggy Lacey: Gospel Soul Series
Hosted by Debra James Tucker
The Gospel Soul Series, hosted by Debra James Tucker, continues with Peggy Lacey, a nationally acclaimed Gospel recording artist. Her mother was the gospel artist who inspired Peggy to live the life she sang about, and she is also the proud mother of International Gospel Artist Amante Lacey. Surrounded by Gospel Music her entire life she has devoted years of service in music ministry on both local and national levels. Her first project was entitled “I’m Gonna Make It” which featured Vickie Winans. She debuted with Tyscot for her second project entitled, Peggy Lacey & Friends “Live”. On the “LIVE” recording she was accompanied by Professor Garey Lewis. He added the musical arrangement and songwriting touch to nearly all the material, “Let God Arise” and “With One Mighty Voice” reveal this best.
Peggy reveals the testimony of God’s love in her songs. Her desire is to cause God’s people to worship and praise Him, to live a life that brings honor to Him, and to be pleasing in His sight. She continues to effectively minister to culturally diverse audiences of all ages. Her intensity in worship and skill in song commands the praises of the Most High God to be release in the atmosphere.
Peggy has been blessed to minister along with many great artists such as: Hezekiah Walker, Edwin Hawkins, Shirley Ceasar, John P. Kee, Thomas Whitfield, The Clark Sisters, The Williams Brothers and many, many other.
In 2011 Peggy was appointed by her Pastor, Bishop Sherman S. Watkins, Prelate of the Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies and Bishop T.D. Jakes, Vice Prelate, to be the National Women’s President. Peggy is the host of the Annual National Women’s Conference, which brings women together from all over the world to come together in worship.
