Roosterphonic Memphis Bound: Pascal “ Rooster” Fouquet, Takes Center Stage!
This is a side project of Lil’ Red & The Rooster … yes, THAT Rooster!
Pascal Fouquet, an award winning French blues guitarist known for his elegant and tasteful playing, is the driving force behind Roosterphonic. With his mastery of the baritone guitar, he infuses the band’s sound with a unique depth. Complemented by Jen “Lil’ Red” Milligan on drums and vocals and Dwight Cartier on bass, the trio crafts blues that strike a harmonious balance between simplicity and sophistication. Roosterphonic’s feel-good blues resonates with retro charm and is a testament to Pascal’s 50 years of experience.
This trio is heading down to Memphis to compete in the International Blues Challenge representing the Huntington Blues Society. You can be a part of the journey. At this interactive evening of fun-raising you get to become a judge for the night! Expect the unexpected as special guests may join in. Donations and ticket sales go towards helping the band get to Memphis! They appreciate their home town community of music lovers and as always will deliver a sassy slow-burn Blues balm to heal what’s aching and leave ya feelin’ good.
Powerful, crisp and classy, he’s a savory Blues reduction drizzled smooth and cool.
Pascal Fouquet has an eloquence in his playing that reaches back to the legends who taught him, always with a tone and style completely his own. He’s a guitarist’s guitar player.
Born in Normandy, France in the early 60’s, Pascal began studying classical guitar at eleven and discovered the Blue note a few years later. Since 1980 he’s been a professional musician and never ceases to give homage to his master teachers: B.B. King, Albert King, T-Bone Walker, Kenny Burrell … and many others. A multi-award winning guitarist he’s had the pleasure of sharing the stage with many great artists including: Diunna Greenleaf, Dave Specter, Mike Sanchez, Steve Clayton, Russell Jackson, Candye Kane, Alex Shultz, Kid Ramos, Sax Gordon, Kenny “Blues Boss” Wayne and Sean Castello. His story is in his playing. If you want to know more catch him with a whiskey or espresso and he’ll share with you face to face. That’s how the Rooster rolls and with his guitar he crows.
Pronounced Fouquet like bouquet not like bucket!
