Silent Bell

Silent Bell is not your average jazz band. They approach classic and psychedelic rock classics (and some deep cuts, too) and reform them as instrumental jazz odysseys. Combining elements of funk, rock and jazz, their shows take on a “Name That Tune” vibe where the songs are familiar enough to recognize but just different enough to captivate and beg the audience to listen as they try to guess where they’ve heard it before. You’ll hear remakes of songs by classic bands like Traffic, The Who, The Grateful Dead, and the Beatles, as well as songwriters like Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Jimi Hendrix and Todd Rundgren. They expertly weave in and out of these well-known melodies with faithful devotion to the composed sections but simultaneously improvised parts in between. Each show is unique and offers new challenges and moments.

Silent Bell is composed of 4 seasoned, long-time Columbus musicians. Craig Fernandez – Saxophone, Bradley Scott-Smith -Guitar, Adam Koltnow – Bass Guitar, Rob Mottice – Drums.
