Songwriter Night: Ron Freeman, Philip Hart, Lauren Izora

  • This event has passed.

Enjoy another great Songwriter Night at Natalie’s with Philip Hart, Lauren Izora, and Ron Freeman. Philip Hart is an old folkie who started writing songs back in the 70’s, inspired by Dylan, Paxton, Prine, Joni Mitchell, and many others.  He likes to write songs that tell stories or raise questions about who we are, or sometimes just a song to make you smile.

Lauren Izora is a singer songwriter from Columbus who got her musical start singing with the Muppet Mayhem Band. She is always writing new music and likes to use her guitar as a diary. She hopes to record her songs to share them with others and is excited to keep growing and learning as an artist.

Ron Freeman is a singer/songwriter and member of Lost Orchards, a Columbus based Americana band with two EPs: “Deaf Kids” and “Assassins”, a concept record about the love affairs of presidential assassins. Ron’s songs have been described as “strange,” “cerebral,” and “like a really good ice cream cone that melts faster than you can eat it.” With a fresh perspective and a lyric-driven approach, Ron is a natural storyteller who chronicles unique subjects like the invention of the high five, the closing of restaurants, and Civil War era religious cults. The long-awaited Lost Orchards album “The Ruins of Steeplechase Park” will be released in early 2025.
