Terrance Charles is a saxophone player and vocalist from Cleveland, Ohio who has become known for his soulful creative contributions to the music scene in Columbus and nationally. In his youth he performed in church regularly, and upon graduation studied classical saxophone at Youngstown State University before transferring to The Ohio State University to graduate with a BA in Music.
For over 10 years, Terrance has shared the stage as a reedman with local acts including The Floorwalkers, Doc Robinson, MojoFlo, George Barrie Band, Wax Jackets and Parker Louis, as well as nationally recognized artists such as O.A.R. and Sumbuck. Recently, he has stepped up from his sideman role to lead a collective of musicians who are fusing contemporary jazz and soul for his Terrance & Friends series.
This month’s residency will feature a rotating lineup of musicians that he’s met through his studies and professional career, along with a few very special guests.
