The Columbus Blues Alliance Presents Ruthie Foster with Hadden Sayers – SOLD OUT!

The Columbus Blues Alliance is celebrating 35 years in 2024 and we are thrilled to host Ruthie Foster and Hadden Sayers for our annual Hall of Fame celebration.  Inductees this year are Fred Delaney, Gene ‘Big Daddy’ Richards and Glenn ‘Manny’ Manuel.

Ruthie Foster’s musical journey is as eclectic and vibrant as her soulful voice. Born into a family steeped in gospel tradition,, Ruthie’s earliest influences ere the voices of her mother, grandmother and the other gospel singers she grew up listening to. Ruthie initially shied away from the spotlight, preferring to play guitar, piano and write songs for others. Ruthie’s talent, however, was undeniable and her mother encouraged her to step up and sing out. Her grandmother’s vocal coaching and encouragement from her mother and the church community allowed Ruthie to recognize her own power as a songwriter, a musician and as a captivating singer.  Ruthie Foster has collaborated with fellow greats such as Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks along with many others. She has also been nominated for four Grammys and has won several Blues Music Awards.

Native born Texan Hadden Sayers is just as comfortable on a massive festival stage with a stratocaster in his hands as he is strumming an acoustic guitar in your living room.  Equal parts blue-eyed soul and red-hot guitar, Hadden is a mesmerizing multi dimensional live performance.  Hadden has played with Ruthie, both in her recorded music and her live performances, with a band and just the duo.
