Forming Topher James and Biscuit Brigade in 2014, the group has grown and evolved into a powerhouse soul band featuring rich vocal harmony and funky guitar riffs pleasing crowds everywhere. Finding a common thread in all the music he grew up listening to, Topher James fell backwards into soul music. Hearing Patti Labelle and James Brown samples in hip hop he then dug deeper studying the likes of Sam Cooke and Donny Hathaway. As his appreciation grew, he fell more in love with R&B and Gospel artists like PJ Morton, Emily King Topher, Daley, and more.
Releasing a video game featuring the band coinciding with the “8 Bit Soul” EP, recording a single at home over Zoom in “No Need To Hide”, and carefully recording the newest EP “Tell Your Story” singing through a mask in the studio you might say there is no stopping Topher James and Biscuit Brigade. Join them for the release which will be the first performance for the full band since the pandemic hit.
