Troy Kunkler Quartet ft. Sydney McSweeney

Celebrate the release of an album featuring some of Columbus’s most creative and exciting musicians! The Troy Kunkler Quartet features Will Strickler on bass and compositions, Alex Burgoyne on saxophone, and Maxwell Button on drum set. The group is fortunate to be joined by the amazing Sydney McSweeney on vocals!

Troy Kunkler Quartet’s premier album, Prototype, was recorded at Secret Studio with Keith Hanlon. Caleb Miller mixed and mastered the album and will be releasing it on his label, Very Much Recordings (https://verymuchrecs.bandcamp.com/).

An unabashed dilettante, Troy Kunkler can be found playing vibes or drums in a jazz combo, bass in a punk band, singing classic French songs, freely improvising, performing contemporary classical works for percussion, ragtime xylophone or jamming in a number of local bands, such as October Ember, The Digs, The San Francisco Threesome, Marvin The Robot, and The Francis Bacon Band. Troy studied percussion at Ohio University with Roger Braun and Guy Remonko.
