URSH – Tribute to Rush
Attention all planets of the Solar Federation…back by popular demand for ‘one night only’ some of the best drummers in the city will come together to pay tribute to the late Neil Peart with an evening of Rush classics and deep cuts.
To commemorate the fourth year of URSH, the band will be performing the seminal album “Moving Pictures” in its entirety. Released in 1981, Moving Pictures is easily considered a classic prog-rock masterpiece with over than half of songs on the record living as mainstays on AOR FM stations for decades. The album cemented Rush as purveyors of songs that could be both clever AND catchy.
Featured drummers include Maxwell Button (Moonbats,) Chris Burnsides (Sleepers Awake,) Troy Kunkler (October Ember, Troy Kunkler Trio,) Justin Herdman (Vaykay Band, The Deeptones,) Jared Keron (LAJ, Kazowie, TUML,) and Jared Fowler (Player’s Club.)
The house band is Rob Bradley (Sleepers Awake, Mr. Fahrenheit & the Loverboys, The Liner Notes,) Bill Patterson (The Wet Darlings, Pet Rabbits, Josh Krajcik,) Brent Mullin (Vaykay Band, The Deeptones) and Steve Perakis (Yachtopia, Honk, Wail & Moan, Stan Smith Quartet.)
And introducing vocalists: Luke Harris (Playing to Vapors, Summon Luke,) Jenny Lute (The Wet Darlings) and Anna Rose Flood.
