Pittsburgh rock and roll legends Bill Toms and Hard Rain return to Natalie’s Grandview Music Hall Stage on Saturday, July 22 accompanied by the Soulville Horns. The creative compulsion to write songs that stir emotion, challenge the mind, and move the tail feathers of the audience is undeniably unique in music today. Bill Toms’ performances have become legendary in sheer power and passion. Rock and roll, soul, blues, and gospel so deep the earth moves, and the walls begin shakin’ as Bill Toms and Hard Rain start the train rolling. American music never sounded so good!

Bill’s musical journey started in Pittsburgh playing in The Houserockers as lead guitarist in 1987. Bill started Hard Rain in 1997 and they have released 11 albums to critical acclaim. His meteoric rise on to the international music scene has enabled him to tour the United States and Europe. He’s opened for and played with a long and impressive list of notables, including The Band, Bob Dylan,  Little Feat, Buddy Guy, Will Kimbrough, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Bruce Springsteen.  Bill has also been recorded and produced over the years by both Will Kimbrough and Bruce Springsteen.

“Bill Toms is a hard working, blue collar, blues guitar playing, soul shouting poet.”- Will Kimbrough

Bill and Hard Rain (With The Soulville Horns) are working on a new album and the first song off it “Walking on Water” is available now. ” Walking on Water” sees Bill taking the road of The Young Rascals, Stax, 60’s Soul music, and employing that same timeless quality to the music.
