Violinist Christian Howes w/ special guest Camille Vogley-Howes

“Can a violin do that?” Come see Chris pull out all the stops in solo renditions of Jazz, fiddle styles, popular and world music. He’ll be joined during part of the set (and possibly upstaged) by Camille. The father-child duo has had musical chemistry after 22 years of playing together.

Camille is a violinist who specializes in classical, jazz, improvisation and fiddle based music out of Columbus Ohio and Asheville North Carolina. They’re a member of Quartet  Davis – an ensemble of holistic musicians trained in classical chamber  music but with roots in folk and blues-based music.

Chris is a violinist, educator and composer. He’s been voted #1 in the Downbeat Critics Poll (Rising Stars/Violin), named among the top three jazz violinists in the JazzTimes critics poll and nominated for Violinist of the Year by the Jazz Journalist Association.
